Music for Church Services

In August 2012 Cappella Nova had a very successful weekend as visiting choir at Christchurch Priory in Dorset. We provided music for Choral Evensongs and Sung Eucharist over the Bank Holiday weekend and enjoyed meeting the clergy and congregation, and also took the opportunity to socialise with each other and to visit some of the many tourist attractions in the area.

This was followed in 2014 by Choral Evensong in Holy Cross Church, Seend and in Gloucester Cathedral, leading to a weekend at Portsmouth Cathedral where we took part in Choral Evensong, Sung Eucharist and a service of commemoration for the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War.

In 2016 we sang for Choral Evensong locally in All Saints, Corston and also in Wells Cathedral. In September we had a weekend as visiting choir at Exeter Cathedral, and finished the year with a Carol Service in Holy Cross Church, Seend. 

Two years later, in 2018, we sang for Choral Evensong in Bath Abbey and for Mass in St Alphege's RC Church in Bath, followed by a weekend as visiting choir in Winchester Cathedral. It was a pleasure once again to finish the year at Holy Cross, Seend for the annual village Carol Service.

Our plans for 2020 were interrupted by the Covid pandemic. We were pleased to restart in 2022 with Choral Evensong in Bath Abbey and Salisbury Cathedral.
